Statues Circuit Puzzle
Once you pull the final lever at the Game Station the door to Statues will unlock. This door will get stuck though and a handle will pop out so you can manually open the door. Go to the side and use both hands to open the door faster. Now you can go downstairs but the door to the game room is closed, so we must open it with a circuit puzzle. Take the right doorway and continue forwards and you will find the room where we must complete the circuit.
Look up and there is a yellow bar, grab it with your green hand and pull yourself up. This is where the power outlet is hiding. It is important to use your blue hand for this, as we need the green hand to move a charge. Once you are connected to the power outlet you can drop down to the floor. Wrap around both poles and now it is time to complete the circuit.
Touch the power outlet on the wall with your green hand to collect a charge. Put this charge into the green receiver and this will activate the other yellow bar. Now you can grab it and pull yourself up, then swing forwards to land on a small platform. Touch the receiver here to complete the circuit and open the door to Statues.
Statues Bug
Before going into the game room there is something you must know. There is a way to complete the Statues game but completely ignore all the rules. However, you can only do this if you have not entered the room yet. Look at the cubes stacked next to the doorway, you want to grab the blue cube and push it into the room. You can push the cube by simply walking into it. Now you can enter the room and position the cube against the foam wall. Jump onto the cube and now you can jump over the wall and into the game area.
Since the game has technically not started yet, you can make your way worry free past all the obstacles. If you want the PJ Pugapillar trophy make sure to take the “Hard” tunnel and you will easily find it. Then you can jump across the yellow cubes and look towards the right side of the room. There is a yellow bar you can grab to break through the office window to escape the game and continue on. Since Mommy Long Legs has riggged it so there is no exit to this game. But if you don’t want to finish Statues this way, I will now go over the game’s rules and some tips and tricks.
Game Rules
Statues Breakdown
This room is a set of obstacles that you must get past to get to the end. While you go through them PJ Pugapillar will be coming for you, if he catches you it is game over. You can only move while the lights are off and music is playing, and must stop moving when the lights turn on and music stops. You can look around, you just cannot press any movement buttons or use the Grab Pack. If you are falling or swinging when the lights turn on, don’t worry. Those do not count as movement as long as you don’t press anything. If you do move with the lights on, then PJ Pugapillar gets a massive speed boost and instantly catches you.
Something important to know about PJ Pugapillar is that his speed is relative to yours. This allows the game’s difficulty to scale to your skill. If you move slow you won’t get punished too hard by it, and if you move quickly well Pj Pugapillar will catch up quickly. Don’t worry about this too much, basically as long as you keep moving during every dark section he should not catch you. Now let’s see what obstacles you will face as you try to escape from PJ Pugapillar.
When the game starts you can move as soon as the gate opens, you do not need to wait for the lights to turn off. The first obstacle is just a simple set of foam walls leading you to the next area. If you move quickly you can get out of the walled section by the time the lights turn on for the first time. The next obstacle will be a bit harder, it is a set of rings over foam blocks. These foam blocks severely slow you down so you cannot walk across them and expect to survive. There are two ways to approach these rings, the way the devs intended and the fling yourself across the room way.
First I will go over the way the devs intended, which is the harder way in my opinion. Basically you will grab one ring with one hand, then the next with the other, and just keep alternating hands. However, the hard part comes when the lights turn on, which will happen at least twice while going across. When the lights turn on you must not click any buttons and you will be dangling from the ring. When the lights turn off you must make sure to grab the next ring as you swing towards it or things may become more difficult.
Another thing that can happen is you accidentally let go, so then you must pull yourself back up to the rings again. Eventually you will get to the slide to safely land near the next obstacle. Be careful with the slide though because if you let go when the lights are on it does count as moving. Now for the second way, flinging yourself across. This way seems much faster and more fun.
What you will want to do is run off the platform and jump as far right as possible. Then move up slightly and aim for the fourth ring, at which point the lights will turn on. Don’t worry if you missed the ring, just grab it when the lights are off again. Quick note, the third ring can work as well, I just have had more success with the fourth one. Once the lights turn off it is important to sprint forwards and pull yourself at the same time. This will cause you to start swinging across, then let go to fling yourself towards the next section.
Sometimes you may land in the foam blocks instead of on the platform, but it shouldn’t be a big deal. It just takes a few steps to be safe. Before continuing on though there is one more thing I want to mention with the rings. If you do the swing correctly you can fling yourself pretty high in the air. So high in fact that you land on the invisible hitbox of the area. I have done this a total of three times so I know it is repeatable if you do it right. This allows you to walk over the tunnel section completely bypassing it and skipping to the last obstacle, where you will fall off and have to jump on the cubes. However if you need the PJ Pugapillar trophy you will not want to do this.
Now about those tunnels, if you want to do this with no worries take the Easy one. But if you need the PJ Pugapillar trophy you must take the Hard tunnel. The trophy will be where the tunnel splits, collect it and take the right tunnel to escape. There is something I must warn you about though, PJ Pugapillar can bug in a bad way in the hard tunnel. Basically for some reason as you near the end of the Hard tunnel it is possible for PJ Pugapillar to grab you through the walls. If you managed to collect the trophy, do not worry. The game saves so you can take the Easy tunnel next time.
I am pretty sure this is a bug that can happen with the save file. When this happened to me I tried the Hard tunnel several times and could never make it through. Since I am on Steam though I had mad a copy of the previous save checkpoint in my files. So I reloaded the previous save and tried again, and that time PJ never caught me in the Hard tunnel. So I just wanted to point out that if he keeps catching you there, it is a bug and you will want to take the Easy tunnel. I assume this can probably happen with the Medium tunnel as well since that one also curves around itself.
When you get out of the tunnel you come to the final obstacle, parkouring across yellow cubes in a foam sea. For this next part be careful because there will be a point where the lights will turn off, then immediately back on. So just be prepared to stop at a moments notice. You will want to do your best to make a running jump at each cube to get across. If you fall in the foam don’t panic, just try to get to the next cube ASAP.
At the 9th cube you will see it is tilted up to the right wall, and there you can see a yellow bar. We must grab this bar and pull ourselves to it to break into the office and get to safety. Once you are over here you don’t have to worry about moving with the lights on anymore, PJ Pugapillar cannot get over here. If you don’t break the window at first don’t worry, just keep swinging at it and you will get through. In this office there are two documents to collect. On the left desk is the “Assessment Form (M. Lata)” and on the right desk is the “Assessment Form (S. Abell).”
Water Treatment Station
Now you can hop down the hole in the floor and Mommy Long Legs will start freaking out. Don’t worry she isn’t a threat right now. Look up and there is a yellow bar you need to grab. We must use this to swing across this massive chasm in the floor. You definitely want a running start for this one. Once you get across go to the end of the hall and look up, and pull yourself up using the yellow bar. Continue straight and you will come to another dead end where you want to pull yourself up to the next area.
As you get to the end of the next hall look left to find a vent. Go straight through and when you get out you will again need to lift yourself up to the next area. Continue forwards and you will come to some stairs, keep going and you will come to the Water Treatment Station. Go to the controls and you will find a document to the left of them, this is the “Transfer Request.” Before interacting with any buttons know that there is an achievement you can get here called “Abridged.”
To get this achievement you must complete the puzzle in 8 moves. If you follow the button presses in my guide you should get the achievement. Rotate the bottom 90 degrees three times and that is all we need to do for now. Make your way to the walkway and look towards the Game Station door. Over there is a dark green tape on the floor. Use your hand to collect it, this tape has the “Jimmy Roth Interview” on it. We don’t need to watch it just yet though.
Collect a Toy
Now you will want to enter Bay 2 and get on the lift, we need to get one of the toys here to continue. Before moving look around and you will find a red button on the wall. Press this one time to change the direction of the conveyor belt. Now look up and to the right and you should see a yellow button a little further up. Then hold down the Up lever until you are close to the yellow button and stop. Press the yellow button one time, then turn right and you should see a blue button. Press this button one time and now the toys should go up the blue and yellow conveyor belts.
Next hold the Up lever until you are all the way at the top and look down the conveyor belt up here. You should see a trophy, collect it to get the Barry Trophy. Now lower the lift a little bit and look left. There is a red conveyor belt that we want to position the lift under so a toy will fall into the lift. Once you have positioned the lift look at the conveyor belt the toys are coming up from. On the wall is a red button, press it and the toys should now ride the belt in front of you.
Turn left to face the short conveyor belt, here there is another red button. You need to wait until the toy is on this belt before hitting the button, as this button changes the direction of both red belts. So if you hit it too early you will not get the toy. If you hit the button at the right time then the Bunzo toy will fall into your lift. Now you can collect it and go all the way back down, then make your way back to the control panel.
Here is also where you can watch the dark green tape we collected earlier, so make sure to watch it before finishing this puzzle. Now you can rotate the bottom 90 degrees one time. Then rotate the top 90 degrees three times. Finally rotate the bottom 90 degrees one time and the walkway is in position. Make your way back to the walkway and you will come to a toy scanner. Place the toy in it and you should get the “Abridged” achievement.
Circuit Puzzle 2
Go forwards and there will be a vent on the left wall. Enter the vent and go left, then right at the dead end. Go straight all the way to the end of the vent and you will come out in the next area. Look up and there is a yellow bar we can use to swing across the gap. Go ahead and go across the gap and here is the circuit puzzle. If you look left as you land there is a large box that has a no green hand symbol on it. If you look in the side of the box there is a red tape hiding here.
For this puzzle you will have to move quickly to complete it. So read through how to complete the circuit before trying yourself. Connect your blue hand to the power outlet on the wall. Wrap your arm around both poles and the box will open up, but there is a gate in front of the green power outlet. What you will need to do is break your connectiong, then collect the tape and touch the green power outlet before it closes. So position yourself to collect the tape before breaking the connection.
Once you are ready break the connection, collect the tape, and touch the power outlet with your green hand to collect a charge. Now swing across the gap and place the charge in the receiver here. Run through the door that opens and go left to get back to the area we were just in. Connect your hand to the power outlet, wrap around both poles, then complete the circuit by touching the receiver past the now open door. This will complete the circuit.
Now you can go back into the hallway and here you can use the TV to watch the red tape, which has the P.S.A Big Spider video. Before continuing on, I want to warn you this next part will not take you back to the Game Station. Instead we will be playing another game with Mommy Long Legs. I will go over this final game in the next part of my guide.
