Musical Memory Game Rules

Musical Memory Game Breakdown

While the game sounds straightforward, there are some additional things you need to know. There are 4 rounds total, with the 5th round working differently from the rest. The game is forgiving because it auto saves after every round so you don’t have to restart from the beginning. The first round will show 5 patterns and starts you with the colors red, yellow, green and blue. Rounds 2-4 will have 6 patterns. Round 2 will add a Violet button and round 3 will add Orange and White.

Round 4 will take things further by adding random symbols, letters, punctuation, and even π. Round 4 also tries to trip you up by showing a different color on screen than what it says. With this memory game I recommend using whatever method works best to help you memorize things. The way I find easiest is by saying the pattern out loud after it is shown. Then repeating it to make sure I don’t lose the pattern.

While the first three colors may be easy to memorize, it will get harder on colors 5 and 6. This can also be difficult because Bunzo is playing his cymbals as he lowers to you, and if you press the wrong button he will move down faster increasing the intensity. I tried timing how long it takes Bunzo to reach you, but got varying results. This is because Bunzo starts lowering as soon as the round starts, not once the pattern is done playing.

In general it takes Bunzo 28-30 seconds to reach you if you make no mistakes. But there is something important you must know. While the game says Bunzo resets to the top when you complete a pattern, that is not entirely true. It seems he only goes up partially, meaning speed is very important in this game to keep Bunzo away from you. At the start of a new round though Bunzo will always reset to the top.

But what about if you hit the wrong button? Well Bunzo will lower faster and the pattern will play again for you. If you are quick you can still survive if you make two mistakes. It may be possible to survive a third, it just depends how fast you are and how close Bunzo is. Something interesting though is if you hit the final button to complete the round right when Bunzo reaches you, it will be game over but the game registers you got to the new round. So when you respawn it will be the next round.

Now about Round 5, this one is different than the rest. This is beacause the game starts going off the rails and malfunctioning so it is impossible to know the pattern. Just patiently wait for the emergency shutoff button to appear and press it to finish the game in round 5. Be warned this button will be mobile so you will need to aim for it. Bunzo will be lowering in this round as well, so it is important to hit the button before he reaches you.

I recommend watching my guide video at the end of this article before proceeding with this game. There I show you all the things you need to know about the game before you head in. Giving you a good idea of what to expect throughout Musical Memory. If you complete Musical Memory without making any errors you will get the achievement “Memory Master.” Once you are ready proceed onto the platform and the instruction video will play, and then Mommy Long Legs will talk to you.

When the game ends Mommy Long Legs will give you the first part of the train code. Now you can walk across the walkway and then it will collapse. Luckily there is a vent down here we can open, and then go through to escape. This will lead you to a large storage room of reject toys.

Reject Toy Storage Room

When you land in this room look right, there is a Bron the Dinosaur cardboard cutout. If you listen to all his dialogue you will get the achievement “The Scariest Dinosaur.” Now go straight through the shelves and turn left, and look down the next set of shelves. Here in the ladder is the cyan tape with the “Security Camera: Rich” video. Then turn around and go up the stairs and go right to find the TV you can watch the tape on. After watching the video look to the left of the TV to find a control panel. Pull the lever here to unlock the crane in this room.

You can take the rollers on the left to go down to the first floor. Look up on the stack of boxes, here is the Bunzo trophy. But we cannot collect it the same way we did the others. We must use the crane to get this trophy down. Look at the ceiling and you will see a track the crane is attached to. Grab one of the bars on the crane and pull it towards you, the crane has a light which can help you aim it over the trophy. Once it is in position go back to the stairs, on the left wall is a power source.

Take a charge from it and then run to the crane and touch the receiver on the side. This will activate the crawn to pick up the trophy. Then you will want to grab the crane and move it down. When the power runs out it will drop the trophy so you can collect it, or you can grab it from the crane. Now pull the crane along the track and take it to the end of the track, which will position it above the Bron dinosaur on the lift. Activate the crane again and it will grab Bron, then move the crane to the side so Bron is put somewhere out of the way.

Circuit Puzzle

Now you can get on the lift and press the red button to activate it. Continue forwards and you will come to a circuit puzzle. Touch the power outlet to power up, then quickly wrap around the nearby pole and jump on the lift. When you get up move next to the wire because we need to break our connection here to access the receiver. When this happens the lift will go back down, so that is why it is important to move where the pole is.

Connect back to the power outlet and wrap around this wire, then jump down and wrap around the next wire. Now connect to the receiver with your other hand to complete the circuit. With that done you can get on the lift and press the button to activate it. Go straight and when you get to the staircase go all the way up. Remove the chair from in front of the door to go through. Turn right and you are now back in the Game Station. Go to the control panel to pull the next lever to access the next game, Wack-A-Wuggy. I will go over this game in part 3 of my walkthrough.
