Part 2: Facing Jackie FNAF Secret of the Mimic

In this guide I will show you where to go next, and how to escape the Jackie chase. My walkthrough will show you where all the collectibles and mailboxes are along the way, and the best way to get through each section. I also have my video guide linked at the end of the guide in case you need a visual walkthrough.

Getting Past the Mimic

Retrieve the lever from the inventory tube system. You can do this by inserting your Data Diver into the inventory tube system which is the machine in the left side of the office. Go to tools and select “Crank” and then the machine will offer it to you. Now exit the security office, but before we use this I want to warn you. As soon as we open this gate the Mimic is going to bust out in front of us, and if it catches you it is game over. Before going to the gate let me tell you the tools you have to avoid the mimic. These tools will be around throughout the game for you to use.

First go straight out of the security office and there is a crate of wind up mice. You can wind these up and throw them to lure the Mimic to the mice. If you look towards the security office and turn right there are lockers here you can hide in, and a cardboard cutout that plays a loud tune. These cutouts will always draw the Mimic to it, so make sure you have a plan to hide before using one. In this case, this cutout is pretty useless as this is a dead end and there is no way for you to really sneak behind the Mimic.

Now look around this area and familiarize yourself with it. The best way to avoid the Mimic is going to be using a mouse to trick the Mimic into thinking you are somewhere else. Here is what we will do, first take the lever to the gate and open it but do not step forwards! Now go grab a mouse and I want you to look towards the left side area next to the Pig mascot. There is an entire area here you can use to quickly get out of the Mimic’s line of sight. This is where we need to run when the Mimic spawns.

When you area ready to face the Mimic go past the gate and the mimic will bust out of a crate. Immediately turn around and run to the pig, then crouch and go left around the costume here. Continue forwards and stop at the box and wait for the Mimic to get a little closer. As the Mimic moves its footsteps will be very loud, so you will know when it is close.

While the Mimic walks wind up the mouse in your hand and get ready to throw it. You can either throw it towards the area across from you towards the lockers, or throw it down the hallway. This should draw the Mimic towards the mouse, and you can go back the way you came to get to the gate. Quickly run to the door and open it with the Data Diver. Once you get to the other side and the door closes you will be safe.

Upstairs Collectibles and More

Here there will be a mailbox you can use your Data Diver on to collect the “Group Chat #1” and “Group Chat #2” text logs. Then open the present to get the Sharpay Plushie. Continue straight through the hallway and you will come to an elevator, to the left of it is an inventory machine. Place the Sharpay Plushie inside and pull the lever to store it. It is important to store items as soon as you collect them.

The reason for this is there is a bug where if you die with an item, when you respawn you will no longer have it. So you will need to go back to the present and open it which can be annoying. Now you can go in the elevator and take it to the second floor. When you get off the elevator go right through the hole in the wall and you will see Jackie’s box. But we aren’t dealing with that yet. First there is a present we must collect.

Look towards the cardboard castle and there is an entrance, go inside and you will find a present. This has the Fall Fest Snow Globe. Once you get that let’s go store it, so go back through the hole in the wall, and there is a hallway that leads to an office. Enter the office and store the collectible in the inventory machine.

To the left of the inventory machine is the next present which contains the Hedgehog Mask. Collect it and store it as well, and then look behind you. Sitting in the corner is the next upgrade station to give us “Repair” access. This next puzzle will be slightly more complex than the first. A tip I have for you is that when you switch which track the arrow is on, it will teleport there. So by switching tracks at the right time you can avoid hitting certain boxes.

For this puzzle switch the arrow to the Low Track and let it go straight through. This when it gets to the other side immediately move it to the high track. After it passes the 1 switch it to the bottom track, and once it passes the 1 again switch it to the high track. With that you should have upgraded your Data Diver. One last thing in this room is a computer you can access. On this computer you can see a map by selecting “Maps”, and it will show you where in the map you are with a small computer symbol. Areas of the map you have not discovered yet will not be filled in with green.

You can also read all the mail you have collected by going to the “Logs” option. As for “Run: Moon.EXE” that is for unlocking a secret ending, which can only be done if you get all the collectibles. So don’t worry about that for now. Instead select “Exit” to exit and we can continue on our way. Leave the office and go back to the room with Jackies’ box. Spin the lever until you break it off and now we can use this to open another door.

Go back out through the hole and towards the closed gate. To the right is the socket you can insert the lever into, then turn to open the gate. Now you can go down the hallway and open the next door. Here there is a generator we must power up to continue, however be warned! When we activate this generator Jackie is going to start chasing us down. So read ahead before continuing on with this part.

Jackie Chase

When you are ready for an exciting chase go to the generator, grab the string and pull until it starts. Then you will get a visit from Jackie. We cannot do anything yet, just wait patiently and Jackie will throw the mail bot here at the wall. This will create the hole we need to escape. Run at the hole and jump down to safety, and if you want to see something creepy look up. Then the walkway under you will collapse and you will drop down to a new area. For now Jackie is not chasing us just yet.

Keep going straight and you will come to a closed door. Pull the lever on the wall to open it, and continue straight and you will come to a lift. As soon as we take the lift upstairs is when the chase begins. Keep straight and don’t let her arms scare you, she won’t grab you with them. Keep left as you go up the stairs to avoid Jackie as she grabs the right side of the staircase. Then she will run ahead on the ceiling and smash the middle part down. As long as you stay left you will get by with no issue.

Now just keep running and don’t look back in this super long hallway. When you turn left at the end of the hall crouch to slip under the floor. Here go straight and there is a lever to the right that will open the gate to the next area. Then turn right and pull the lever here to open the next gate. Then go into the next section and this lever will be on the left wall between two pipes. Quickly pull it and exit through the final opening.

When you get out of the vent run straight to the open gate and pull the lever next to it. This will close the gate right as Jackie comes, trapping her for a moment. You must do this next part before Jackie breaks free from the door and gets you. Go around the corner and quickly pull the string on this generator to power it up. This will allow you to access the vent on the left, which will then close as soon as you go through it.

Keep going straight and you will eventually drop down into another area. Continue through the next vent and as you approach the corner Jackie will come out and cause the vent to collapse. You will now be safely back in the security office. Press the button on the microphone to talk to Dispatch and get your next mission which will take you to the Showrooms.
