Part 11: Decommission Monty FNAF Security Breach
This guide will show you how to decommission Monty in FNAF Security Breach. The missions that lead to this are Monty Golf, Thrill Seeker, and Monty Claws. While doing these missions you will come across the third flashlight upgrade. We will also come across the worst part of the game, the Mazercise puzzle. I will guide you through these missions so you can complete them quickly. We can collect 8 presents and 9 bags while doing these missions. If you get lost at any part I also have my video guide linked at the end of the article.

How to Get Second Party Pass
If you already used your first Party Pass for Fazer Blast you may be wondering how to get one for Monty Golf. Well you cannot get another Party Pass until you decommission Roxy and upgrade Freddy’s eyes. Then you must go to an exit gate and choose the “Stay” option. That is when Freddy will give you a second Party Pass. Be warned that all the save stations in the Pizzaplex except for one will break, making things much more difficult. The only save station you can use will be in the Atrium in front of the elevators that go to the lobby.
Get Hoodie Upgrade
If you have been following my guide you should now have security level 5 after doing the Prize Counter or Loading Dock mission, whichever one you skipped. This means you can now get the Hoodie upgrade, which is locked behind a door that requires level 5 security clearance. We will also get two bags and one present back here.
If you did not do Prize Counter or Loading Dock then you will have to get this upgrade after finishing Monty Golf. Go to the Monty Golf lobby and you will see a set of stairs going to the second floor. Head upstairs and continue forwards to find a hallway hidden behind Monty Golf. Make your way to the large door at the end of the hall, but do NOT enter yet!
First call Freddy because there are several security bots in this next area. Hop inside Freddy then go through the door and enter Chica’s bakery. Right when you enter the bakery you will find a bag with the “CFF Maint Log” text. Next you will see a present on the ATM but be careful as there is a security bot that patrols right next to it.
This security bot can grab you over the counter so wait for it to leave. Then open the present to get the Monty Magnet. Hop back in Freddy for safety and go to the giant cupcake, then turn left and you will see a small storage room. Inside is a bag and the Chica Feeding Frenzy arcade machine. Unfortunately you cannot play the arcade machine, but I just wanted to point it out because you can play this game in Ruin.
Open the bag to get the “Ar-Cade Maint Log.” Now you can hop into Freddy and go straight to the back room towards the blue door. There is one security bot in this room that patrols right in front of the door we need to enter. When you get in the room make sure to stay clear of the door to not get caught. Get out of Freddy in the corner and open the present to get the Hoodie. This will slightly increase stealth making it harder for animatronics to detect you. But this extra stealth is VERY MINOR! Animatronics can still see you easily, and hear you, if you are running around. Get back in Freddy and make your way back to the Monty Golf lobby.
Decommission Monty FNAF Security Breach
Mission: Monty Golf
Objectives
- Use the Party Pass to Find the Faz Camera in Monty Golf
Mission Walkthrough
If you want to decommission Monty you need to go down the path of Monty Golf. To start this mission you can enter Monty Golf which is on the right side of the Atrium, across from Roxy’s Raceway, on the first floor. Or left if you are looking out from the main stage. If you have just come from Prize Counter you can take the escalator down to the second floor. Then go right through the purple door and forwards to Monty Golf.
In front of the elevator that goes into Monty Golf will be a S.T.A.F.F bot that restricts your access. When you get close you can give it the party pass and it will vanish and you can now take the elevator. Don’t worry if Freddy’s battery is low, unless you are at one bar, because there is a save station near the entrance to Monty Golf. Once you are ready you can take the elevator down and there will be a save station right there.
Go ahead and make two saves of your game. If you need to charge Freddy then hop in and go down the stairs on the right, then turn left down the first hallway and you will see the charge station. After Freddy is charged there are a few presents we will want to collect before going to the security office. Go straight out of the charge station and to your left is a ball pit with a cabin in the middle. You want to enter the ball pit and go into the cabin to find the present with the Tragedy Mask.
Get back in Freddy and make your way towards Monty’s Gator Grub because in front of that is a golf course with a trailer. Go inside the trailer to find the next present. Just make sure Monty is not looking your way when you exit Freddy. Inside this present is a Go Kart, now hop back in Freddy and enter the far left door to Monty’s Gator Grub.
The kitchen will be a safe spot we can exit Freddy from and if you look at the counter you will see the next bag. However, there is a security bot that patrols right in front of this counter. So wait for it to leave, then quickly run up and collect the bag to get the “No Flash Photography” text log.
Now go to the other side of the room and you will see a red door with a security symbol next to it. Go through this door to enter a long hallway. When you turn the corner you will see a save station, two doors on the left, and a door in front of you. First save your game in case something bad happens. Now before we go into the security office we first want to get the third and final flashlight upgrade. This will be in the room behind the red door past the save station, but do not enter right away!
There is a security bot that patrols around this room and it stops right in front of the door, spins, then continues on. Make sure to look for any light coming out from under the door, if it is clear slowly go forward to peak in the room. The security bot makes a circle around this room going right to left. Wait for the bot to just start leaving this door, then follow behind it. It will stop in another corner and spin then continue. Quickly run to the control panel and open the present to get the flashlight upgrade.
Now quickly run back to the save station and save your game. Then you can go in the security office because there are four things we need to get. Open the present on the chair to get the Faz Cam, take the security badge from the Freddy head on the desk, open the bag on the floor for the “Behind the Maze” text log, and turn around and open the present on the pizza box for the Mazercise Pass. You will hear alarms but do not worry because Monty is not coming for you. However, there is a chance it will spawn a security bot to patrol each section of the hallway. The reason I say a chance is because their spawn is very buggy so they do not always appear.
Mission: Thrill Seeker
Objectives
- Find Out How to Decommission Monty
- Investigate the Vent in Mazercise
- Find the Mazercise Control Key in the Daycare Theater
- Use Mazercise Controls to Move the Walls and Access the Vent
- Defeat Monty and Take His Claws
- Upgrade Freddy in Parts and Service
Mission Walkthrough
Now it is time to escape Monty Golf and figure out how to decommission Monty. Before leaving the office have the Faz Cam ready, then slowly approach the door to check for a patrolling security bot. If it is close you can stun it, if not you can hop in Freddy. Or if you want to be super safe you can call Freddy into the security office and hop in.
Look to the right of the door we got the flashlight upgrade from. There is a level 5 door we can exit from. Follow the path going left and around the giant gator’s mouth. This path will take you to a bridge and this is the area we entered Monty Golf from. Feel free to recharge Freddy and then go save your game before taking the elevator back to the Atrium.
You may be thinking we need to go to Mazercise next, but this is a trick. We actually need to go to the Daycare Theater first to get the Mazercise Control Key so we can solve the maze. So you actually will want to make your way to the elevators on the second floor in the front of the Atrium, these will take us to the lobby. To get there you just go left as you exit Monty Golf and go towards the food court. Remember to be careful of Roxy who is patrolling the party area in the middle. Then go up the escalators next to the party check in and the elevators will be right there.
When you get off the elevator go left towards the Superstar Daycare. Keep going down the hall and then recharge Freddy in the charging station. Now go to the save station and make 2 saves of your game. Be warned there are a ton of security bots in the Superstar Daycare, so Freddy will be super helpful here! But we don’t have to hop in just yet.
Instead enter the daycare and go around the bars and through the open gate. You will see the first set of security bots here, they just go up and down. Here there are several presents and bags we need to get, and we need to make sure to conserve Freddy’s battery. Look carefully at the flashlight’s of the two security bots. They will only grab you if you enter their light.
Since each bot only patrols one side it is possible to hug one side, and the bot will just go past you. An easy way to get past them is wait for one bot to turn around, then follow directly behind it hugging the wall or fence, whichever side you are on. Then when the other bot passes you switch sides, the party room we want to enter is the one with the green door. If a security bot gets too close to comfort remember to use your Faz Cam to stun it.
Sitting on the bench next to the green door is a bag with the “Recycled Pizza?” text log. Go to the other side of the room and on the table is a present with the Glam Freddy Figure. Look out the window so I can show you where we are going next. If you look to the left there is another row of party rooms. We want to enter the party room with the purple door, but there are also security bots patrolling that area.
Use the window to check if the security bots are not around, then exit the door and go towards the stairs because no bots patrol near here. Then you can wait for the bots to be moving away from you and walk towards the lighthouse. This is a safe spot since you can wait behind the lighthouse for the bots to pass, then go through the purple door.
When you enter the party room go to the end of the table to find the next present, inside is Plush Baby. Use the window to check if the coast is clear, and if it is run left to the stairs. We want to take the stairs down to the Luck Stars Gift Shop. Go to the very back room of the gift shop to find a present with the Fredbear’s Family Diner Old Poster.
Next you want to go straight across the room towards the Lobby arrow and turn left. There you will see a “Fazcade” sign and a yellow door, this is where you want to go. In the arcade go to where the coin dispensers and air hockey game is to find a bag. Inside is the “Out of Order” text log. After collecting this you can go back towards the gift shop, then take the stairs up and go to the ticket counter.
We must enter the Daycare Theater from the upstairs door because the other doors require a higher security clearance. Enter the large blue door next to the ticket booth, but be careful because there is a security bot that patrols this area. You can call Freddy here to make this easier and hop in. But we do not want to go into the theater yet, instead go behind the counter to the kitchen. Here you will find a pile of trash with a present on it. Inside is the Freddy Mask.
Hop back in Freddy and go back towards the theater. In the theater there will be a ton of security bots, which is one of the reasons I wanted to conserver Freddy’s battery. Use Freddy to take the first staircase down to where the audience normally sits. Here you can find a bag on a bench with the “The Answer” text log.
Next go to where those foam shapes are and you will find a present with Frozen Chica Treat. Get back in Freddy and go upstairs and make your way towards the Foxy poster. Turn left and take these stairs down and you will find there is another room leading behind the theater. When you get to the area with all the posters and costumes you can exit Freddy as there are no more security bots to worry about.
When you enter this next area you will be met with a scary surprise. There are endos everywhere in here! But don’t worry they are not active yet, and we have Freddy with us. After taking the first set of stairs down go to the lockers to find a bag with the “The Answer” text log. Now go all the way down the stairs to get to the bottom floor. Take the left door and go to the back of the room to find the Foxy cardboard cutout. You will want to take a picture of it to make its eye glow. This is one of four cutouts we need to take pictures of to access a secret room. I will show you their locations as we go, so do not worry.
After taking the picture turn around and go left through the doorway to get to the other side of the room. Here you will see a save station conveniently next to a present. That is not suspicious at all! Make sure to save your game first because opening that present will trigger some scary things to happen.
After you save call Freddy to you and then open the present to get the Mazercise Control Key. Then hop into Freddy ASAP so no endos sneak up on you. Now you can casually walk out the way we came without getting bothered by any endos. Make your way back to the lobby and take the elevator to the Atrium. Don’t forget to recharge Freddy on your way.
Now that you are in the Atrium we need to go to Mazercise, but where is it? If you look up to the right you will see the Mazercise sign next to El Chip’s. You can hop in Freddy if you don’t want to worry about the security bots, then make your way up the escalator and to Mazercise. Once you get there you will see a bot that needs a ticket to let you in. But also there is a security bot that patrols right in front of it!
Wait until the security bot passes the ticket bot, then get out of Freddy. Quickly give the bot the ticket then hop back in Freddy to stay safe. Now you can enter Mazercise and go to the left door, then turn right and enter the blue door. Now you can exit Freddy and collect the bag here to get the “Job Security” text log. Now make two saves at the save station. Just be careful not to get too close to the door because the security bot could grab you. Now time for the hardest part of the game, the Mazercise puzzle.
Mazercise Solution FNAF Security Breach
First I will go over the simple solution for the puzzle. To quickly solve it you can press the button in the top row under the 4 three times. Then flip the red switch and press the button under the 1 in the top row three times. Flip the red switch again and then press the button under the 2 in the bottom row one time. I will show a picture of what the completed puzzle should look like. You know the vent is clear if you got the green piece with the chilis and tacos to the vent.
But what if you already tried to solve the puzzle? How can you solve it? Unfortunately if you did not save before interacting with the puzzle, then there is no way to reset it. But it is possible to solve it if you understand how the puzzle works. Take a look at the cameras overlooking the Mazercise puzzle and you will notice it looks like a grid. There are 5 rows and 5 columns, this means each square has a coordinate on the grid. So if you can figure out its coordinate you can move it.
The first row is in the corner with the vent, that is row 1 and column 1. Go right from the vent to get columns 2, 3, 4, and 5. Then count down from the vent to get rows 2, 3, 4, and 5. On this grid 1, 1 is where the vent is, so your goal is to get an open maze piece to 1, 1. Now look at the control panel and you will see it is labeled 1-5 with arrows showing horizontal or vertical directions. The puzzle starts with the vertical lines active. What this means is if you pressed button 1 in the bottom row, then it will move all the pieces in column 1 down one square. If the square would go into the wall it is put on the other side of the column or row.
Now say you flip the red switch, this changes the direction the pieces move. They will now move horizontally. So if you pressed 1 in the bottom row now all the pieces would move over one to the right. This can be a bit confusing to explain, but I do have this visually explained in my FNAF Security Breach walkthrough video. Your goal if you want to access the vent it to get an open piece to the 1, 1 position and work from there.
The piece I always recommend moving here is the dark green piece with the chilis and tacos because it is easy to see. To figure this out you first must find where the piece is. If you haven’t touched the maze is starts in position 4,4. Moving up 3 changes it to position 4,1. Then moving the top row to the left 3 times moves it to 1,1. So that is how I figured out how to move all the pieces for my solution. If you are still lost then please comment below or on my video for assistance.
Now that the vent is unblocked it is time for the Monty boss fight. You can hop in Freddy if you don’t want to deal with the security bot, or just try to check the door to see if the coast is clear. Go into the left Mazercise entrance and follow the path to the vent. Now you must exit Freddy and enter the vent alone. Luckily there is no music man to chase you this time!
Go to the end of the vent and there will be a save station you can use before starting the fight. Be warned, as soon as you jump down from this area the boss fight will start. But how do you open the gate. Well behind you will be a ball shooter you can interact with. Once you are in control shoot at the purple spot on the Monty targets. After being hit 3 times the gator ride will start and the gate will open. The boss fight will start a new mission called Monty Claws. After which we will continue with this mission.
Mission: Monty Claws (aka Monty Boss Fight)
Objectives
- Fill Splash Bucket
- Dump Splash Bucket
- Collect Monty’s Claws
Mission Walkthrough
In this area you will be on the catwalks above Monty Golf. Throughout this area will be several shooters you can use to fill the large bucket in the front of the room. Above the bucket are lights that tell you how full it is. Your goal is to shoot balls into this bucket until it is full, indicated by the light bar being filled up completely. Every time a ball successfully lands in the bucket you will hear a ringing sound.
Each shooter does have limited ammo though, which is indicated on the screen. Once it runs out it will deactivate and take some time to reload. Sometimes the shooters will randomly be destroyed and will be unusable. I think Monty is supposed to break them, but this mechanic bugs out and sometimes they break when Monty isn’t even close. When shooting use the sight to help you aim your shots. Also be careful not to hit the gator gondolas moving around.
All of this is of course made complicated by the fact Monty is hunting you down the entire time. So how can you survive? The trick is to just run around and try to get far away from Monty and out of his line of sight. Monty’s pathing is quite weird so make sure to always watch him carefully. Crouching can help you hide from him if he is not actively chasing you. Then sneak your way to a shooter and start filling that bucket!
If you ever hear the jumpscare sound then look around because Monty probably saw you. But it is possible to get the jumpscare music and yet Monty is not chasing you. Be warned he will also jump around the area when he does not know where you are. So keep an ear out for his jumping sound, and then look around and hope he does not land on you.
The best shooters to use for this will be in the middle, but this also means they are the most dangerous. You can try luring Monty to a corner of the area, or just wait for him to be far away. Then book it to the middle shooters and shoot as much as you can before Monty notices you. I also think the right side shooters have a better angle than the left side ones. Once you have the bucket filled it will play a jingle and your mission will update. Run to the front right side and there will be a button, as soon as you get close a cinematic will start ending the fight.
Mission: Thrill Seeker Continued
After defeating Monty you can go to his mangled body and collect his claws. Now we can upgrade Freddy with these! If you look around you will see you have dropped into Monty Golf. Look at the wall with all the mist and you will see some stacked scaffolding you can hop on. Go inside the vent and it will lead you to the kitchen of the food bar in Monty Golf. Now you can call Freddy to you and hop in to safely exit Monty Golf.
You can go straight out the food bar and across the bridge and you should see the charging station. Feel free to use it if Freddy is low on battery. Then go upstairs and save your game at the save station. Now you can take the elevator up to the Atrium. Once back upstairs go to the main stage and press the button to go to parts and service. Then go down to parts and service and save your game before interacting with the computer.
Like last time there will be some memory games to upgrade Freddy, but they will be a bit longer this time. Once your ready go to the computer and select “Claws Upgrade.” Then go into the protective cylinder and interact with Freddy. For this part make sure to only click on the glowing parts, as clicking on the wrong part will result in death. Also when the lights are glowing wait for them to all stop glowing before pressing anything.
If you press a button before the pattern finishes it will also be game over. After swapping out his hands for claws you will then do the diagnostic test. This also works the same as when we put Freddy’s head back on and there are only 5 rounds of pattern that you have to memorize.
Once finished you can complete the upgrade on the computer. Then Freddy will give some dialogue on his new upgrade. When he is done talking the end of the hour sequence will start and you will get a quick mission called “Recharge Time.” You can just hop in Freddy and go to the power station outside parts and service to survive Moon and finish the mission. Now Freddy will give you the missions to decommission Roxy and that will be the next part of my guide. Oh, and remember to save your game after all this!
